Is there a way to make the auto appearing rows disappear on a grid?

I've got a Vlookup 'Search Portal' set up on a grid that I'm viewing through a editable published grid on a Dashboard.

It all works pretty well, except for the rows that appear under 'Portal' area. The working area is 19 rows. It adds on 41 blank rows to the bottom which I don't need.

Is there a way to try and suppress if from adding all these rows? Or possibly to filter them out automatically?

I did try adding a hidden column with a value in for all the rows I wanted, and filtered by this value. This sort of worked, but it still showed 10 rows at the bottom, and this filter seems to turn off by itself after a few refreshes.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Would a report work instead of a sheet?

  • That was the first thing I tried, but unfortunately the Vlookup formula doesn't seem to work through a report.

Apologies. I didn't realize you were using the formulas and whatnot. Unfortunately there is no way to get rid of the rows.

Another option though would be to have users fill out a form and then have formulas in place to pull the most recent form entry into the search fields on a non-displayed sheet. The user would submit the form and then either refresh their browser or wait until the dashboards auto-refresh kicks in to see the search results.
