The best way of making a master
Hi there,
I am supervising approx 30 projects.
Right now I have a master sheet with all projects and milestones where I can indent and outdent the different projects.
I would like to make dashboards on each project progress. However, the dashboards can not be made correctly as the report roll up from the master sheet is not displaying the projects correctly.
So thought of making a project plan for each project instead, as the dashboards then functions well from the report roll up.
BUT then how do I make sure I still have a master to look at. Cell linking do seem a little over the top. I have tried with a summary report of a few test project plans, but It is not possible to show the collums in the same format as in the individual sheets.
What would be the best solution?
I appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

I'd recommend creating something like this.
- Intake process where all projects are collected
- Individual project template structure with Project sheet, reports, metrics, dashboards, and more
For each new project, you would make a copy of the template, and it can be connected to the intake process with cross-sheet formulas or cell-linking, or a combination of both.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Thank you Andrée,
I think I will make individual plans for all projects and just generate a master-report even though all tasks are equally shown (no indented) where I auto-highlight changes.

Excellent!
You're more than welcome!
To add. Even though the indentation won't show, you could add conditional formatting to separate the parents/children.
