Deleting all Sheet Information

When I make a sheet into a template - is there anyway to remove all of the current data (besides manual selection) so that the template information is blank?

Yes.

When you Save As Template (or save as another sheet), click on the dropdown for "Data & Formatting Options" and deselect "Sheet Data and Formatting"

Pick and choose which other selections to keep or remove based on your preferences.
