Vlookup and Zip Codes

Can I use the vlookup function to populate city/state and zip for events management and tax purposes? If yes, what is the formula? Thank you for your help in advance

Do you have a pre-existing table with the city/state/zip filled out? Smartsheet doesn't maintain that data for you, you would have to have a dedicated table for it.

Unfortunately we do not have a pre-existing table of all three. I have one column labeled 'Location (City/State). Can you recommend how I should track event locations? Should I have separate columns for all 3?

@Andrée Starå would probably be better for smartsheet maps. I tend to stay away from add-ons to the program, and don't have much experience in working with them.

There are about 42k zip codes, which means that it would be rather difficult for smartsheet to hold/analyze all that info, meaning a manual solution wouldn't work so easily. I'll take a look at maps and see if i can't figure something out with that quick though

I have the address just need to map the zip code.

(Assuming you are talking about USA only) Based on simple lookup you may not be able to determine a zip code using address line as it needs a city and state (you may have multiple results) Rather it works the other way -- if you know the zip code then you can get city and state. (There are web applications and services for address lookups and Smartsheet is probably not the right solution for it). The question is what are you trying to solve for.
