Duplicate the automation and update for each column other than Column D.

Hi @A Rose
To add to Dan's & Paul's excellent advice/answer.
Another option would be to add each column as a trigger.
When Column A change to
Any Value
or when Column B changes to
Any Value
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic day!

You can set up automations in the Automation section of a Sheet, located in the top left under the search bar.
Click Automation > Create a Workflow...
Now you can set up an automation.
If you only want the alert to run for changes to existing rows, change the trigger to "When rows are changed."
If you only want it to run for changes to certain columns, change the "When" criteria to Any Value for the columns you are interested in.
Select the action you want, and any recipients (if applicable).

@Andrée Starå Thanks! I completely forgot that you could set multiple triggers for a single Automation.
