Am I then correct in assuming that I have to manually cell-link with each newly created "project budget"? Those cell links don't stay in place when I go to use the budget template.

Correct. You will need to link each project sheet to the master as it is created.

Another option would be to use the same layout where each field is in its own cell across a row of hidden columns along with a checkbox on that particular row and then pull a report looking across the entire workspace based on the checkbox and only show those columns in the report.

Ok, thanks. It's a bit more manual work then I was hoping for but I can make that work I suppose. Thanks for all the help.
