Is it possible to create a VLookUp Dropdown list in a Smartsheet?

We are trying to map categories to specific subcategories, and would prefer to only have the subcategories that apply to each category appear in the dropdown list, rather than all subcategories as is appearing right now. Is there a way to create some kind of VLookUp dropdown list or something similar, so that only the subcategories I want to see appear in the dropdown list when a specific category is selected?

Dynamic dropdowns aren't possible yet. It's a frequent request in the Community. I have to believe there have been enhancement requests submitted already but you're welcome to submit another. Link below.

A solution that could help for this use-case is the premium add-on, Data Uploader.

Is that an option?
