Count/Count If Formula

I have a sheet with a date column and another column with a number in each cell (e.g. number of tasks for the particular day/date) - see screenshot.

I have another sheet where I would like to count the number in the number of tasks column, but only if they are within the next 30 days.

Can't work if this is a COUNTIF(S), COUNT or combination of the 2 (if that's possible).
