Update request expiration?

Does an Update Request expire? I know it does if it is opened and and "submit" is clicked, and I assume it dies if the row is moved to another sheet, but does it ever expire just based on a certain amount of time?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. An Update request only expires upon completion.

I'm saying this because I recently heard there are actually long standing update requests out there from over a year ago and Smartsheet said they are keeping them around.
