I would like to split this column keeping the history of the comments and date should be auto populated

So the above Smartsheet needs to be updated every time there are new updates and it is important to have the history of the comments along with the dates. So my question here is for a single tracking # is there a way to add in comments and keep track of the previous ones without splitting the Single tracking # into rows to add new comments?
