Forms- Locked Columns
Hi
I am using forms to update a sheet. I would like the Form user to see locked columns but not be able to update these(as these are formulas)....is this possible ?

Hi @leezee
I hope you're well and safe!
Not sure I follow. Do you mean an Update Request?
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi, I think understand what @leezee is asking for and I have the same question as well. I have a form with some locked columns as descriptors but should be left untouched, but update forms seem to only restrict form filling when ROWS are locked, but locked columns are still editable.

@Michael Ponte @leezee Did you ever get a solution for this issue? I need to do the same thing.
When I send an update request people are able to update the locked columns and they should not be modified. Any ideas of a workaround?

I got the Update Request form to protect the fields that should not be changed by locking those columns in the sheet.
The trick is to email the request update to people that are not shared to the sheet or to shared users with editor or view permissions. People with Admin privileges (or the owner) can always make changes, even to locked columns.

Hi, my issue was on the form submission and not the update request ... I understand the difference now ...thanks !

Excellent!
Glad you got it working.
