Formula that would eliminate an option on a survey

I want to send out an activities survey with 3 options

First option is limited to 50 participants

Second option is limited to 30 participants

Third is limited to 20 participants.

Is there a function or logic which will alert the survey taker that "that option has been filled"?

Hope you are fine, yes you can do that by adding automated workflow in your intake sheet to send update request the user to change his choice if that choice is reserved by someone else

To add to Bassam's excellent advice/answer.

You could embed the form in a dashboard together with metrics showing what options are left or similar.
