How to Workapps transfer ownership?

It is possible to transfer the ownership of an app made in Workapps? I made an app and i want to transfer it to a colleague, is this possible?

Hi @Sebastian Avila

First, ensure that the desired new owner has Owner or Admin permissions to all of the Smartsheet items (sheets, reports, and dashboards) included as pages in the WorkApp.

Then please reach out to Smartsheet Support; they can help you change the ownership of a WorkApp.

@Genevieve P. Hi Genevieve, is this article you linked above "transfer ownership of a WorkApp still accurate? For the life of me I can't find "app settings" to transfer ownership of my workapps to someone else. Or can we not do it ourselves and have to reach out to support?? Let me know! Thanks!

Ahh, nevermind. After searching forever, finally found it. The article says to open the app but it doesn't mention it needs to be opened in EDIT mode. All good now!

Hi @Melisa Dannhauser

You'll only need to reach out to Support if the previous owner has left and you are unable to gain access to their account. If you are looking to transfer your own Workapps, you can do this yourself!

1. Edit your App
2. Click the Gear Icon
3. Select Transfer App Ownership

@Genevieve P. Just figured it out, it was saying to "open the app" in the article so I didn't realize we had to open it in edit mode. Once I did that, I found the setting. THANKS!
