Set the Current Date with Record a Date Action

How can I set the automation so that it only records a date in the row that is being updated? At the moment it is updating every row in the sheet when a single row is being updated.

It depends on how the sheet is structured, but one way would be to have the workflow trigger set to run when a specific change happens and maybe combine it with a condition to not trigger for everything.

Thanks Andree, nothing confidential yet!

What I am trying to do is as follows:

1.    Sheet 1 contains a list of contacts, details and current status,

a.      A weekly update request is sent via automation workflow,

b.     Contact completes update,

c.      Triggers copy of row to be transferred to a “record sheet”.

2.    Sheet 2 “record sheet” contains a copy from each week’s updates for analysis and dashboarding. Enables tracking and reporting of status over time for each contact

Does that make sense or is there another way to achieve it?

I am really only trying to use the date to trigger the transfer to the record sheet but the "set-the-current-date-with-record-a-date-action" updates every row in the sheet NOT just the row being updated.
