Formula in cell A1 to update the count of a column

Hello. I'm also new to SmartSheet, and I'm trying to put a formula in cell A1 that keeps updating the count of rows in a column as I add them. How do I do this? I would also like to possibly add the "control F" box permanently in a cell on the screen so people who don't know about Control F can use it. Any help would be appreciated!

I can help you with your first Question.

I would just create a New Column and put this formula. =1+0 and then make it a column formula.

This will return a 1 in every new row in that column. Then you can do a =count("New Column:New Column")

that will give you a live update.

I do not believe the second one is possible because it is a function and dont think the function can be added to a cell.
