Add to Existing Inventory

Good morning gurus! Here is our question of the week!

I have an existing inventory of materials built into Smartsheet. Works beautifully so no problems there.

What I would like to do is update the inventory by adding either a new line item or entering the information via form. For example: If I have 3kg of material XYZ in the existing inventory and I want to add another bottle of 2kg of XYZ, is there a way to automatically update the total amount to 5kg when a line item is moved over or a an entry is made via form?

I can't seem to wrap my mind around a formula or automation that would accomplish this, so I bring it before the gurus. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I would create a new sheet for last two columns which will give you totals.

Please let me know if this helps and when you are done examining the sheet so I can Delete.

I would just use a

=sumif(range,Criterion,[sum_rage]

@Antonio Figueroa I don't know that I can make that function work (unless I am just missing something). Here is a snapshot of my inventory. We have hundreds of line items. Many of the materials have the same name. I need to calculate Overall total amount for that chemical by summing all the Total Available Amounts for the material of that name. Does that make sense?

Please add rows to Full Chemical name and add quantity and it will automatically update new sheet

This is helpful. I will just need to make sure that if someone adds an entry that is new to the list, I add that material to the calculation column on the new sheet.
