Highlight Weekend Dates

Hi, I am super new to smartsheet and still learning. I have no previous experience with formulas.

I have a column that has dates in it, but I want them to highlight red or something if the date is a weekend. Is this possible? What would the formula be if it is?

You would need to insert a helper column and use conditional formatting based on that. I would suggest a text/number column with the following column formula that will output "Weekend" on rows where the date is either a Saturday or a Sunday.

=IF(OR(WEEKDAY([Date Column]@row) = 1, WEEKDAY([Date Column]@row) = 7), "Weekend")

You can then hide this helper column to keep it from cluttering up the sheet too much.
