SUMIFS not in the same sheet

Hi All

I am having a tricky time with a SUMIFS formula that is not in the same table as the data. I can get it to work within the sheet;

=SUMIFS([Total Recommendations]1:[Total Recommendations]45, [Allocated Senior Auditor]1:[Allocated Senior Auditor]45, "Auditor Name", [Senior Status Complete]1:[Senior Status Complete]45, "Complete")

However when I take it into a different sheet & insert the source sheet information it fails with a #INPARSEABLE error code. I have added it multiple places with the same result

The source data sheet is {Control Workbook}. It doesn't seem to matter where I inject this detail in { } or [ ] I get the same error.

=SUMIFS({Control Workbook}[Total Recommendations]1:[Total Recommendations]45, {Control Workbook}[Allocated Senior Auditor]1:[Allocated Senior Auditor]45, "Auditor Name", {Control Workbook}[Senior Status Complete]1:[Senior Status Complete]45, "Complete")

It is sending me a little loopy. Any help is appreciated

Did you copy the formula only, or did you also add the cross-sheet references to the new sheet?

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

Ok.

So when I copied it straight into a new worksheet it failed.

When I created it in the sheet named Control Workbook it worked. Below is the formula

=SUMIFS([Total Recommendations]1:[Total Recommendations]45, [Allocated Senior Auditor]1:[Allocated Senior Auditor]45, "Chris Rumias", [Senior Status Complete]1:[Senior Status Complete]45, "Complete")

Hope you are fine, are using the SUMIFS formula in the summary sheet to collect the data from the intake sheet "Control Workbook", if you want the formula to do that between the summary sheet and the intake sheet "Control Workbook" please try the following formula:

=SUMIFS({Total Recommendations}, {Allocated Senior Auditor}, "Chris Rumias", {Senior Status Complete}, "Complete")

1- {Total Recommendations} is refer to "Total Recommendations" in "Control Workbook" sheet

2-{Allocated Senior Auditor} is refer to "Allocated Senior Auditor" in "Control Workbook" sheet

3 - {Senior Status Complete} is refer to "Senior Status Complete" in "Control Workbook" sheet
