Alert Emails when somebody summited a form
Hi all
need some advise. We created a form in SmartSheet. Its a resource request form. The thing is, we do not get any alert email if a new request has been submitted. Can we change that. Please can you write steps in bullet points? I didn`t find in other QAs a answer to this. Thanks so much.

Hi, we did something like this.
First, we assigned a default status to the form of "new" - so when a form is submitted it automatically gets that status (and the field is hidden from the form).
- add the field to your form, then on the right side panel, slide the button to Hidden, and assign a default value.
Then using the Automations feature, we set up an automatic alert for a team member to be alerted when a row was added with the status of "new".
The Automation trigger is then "when rows are added and status is new", action is "alert someone".
Hope that helps!
