Pulling data from another smartsheet ongoing as it is updated

Hi, I'm trying to create a calendar of events based on other smartsheet calendars. I can't seem to get mine to update every time the other sheets are being update. Any recommendations? Thanks

    Hi @Sarah Karu

I hope you're well and safe!

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

  • Hi Andree,

I will try to explain better since unfortunately I cannot share the sheets.

I want to create a calendar of events where I pull data from different business units similar calendars. Lets say there are 3 other BUs that have their own calendar of events, and they update it regularly. so, if there's another event coming up, they add it to their BU calendar.

I would like to have visibility to all the events happening in all 3 BUs, but can only link what is currently on their sheet and not what they potentially add in the future.

Is there a way to link the (currently) empty cells from their calendar sheets knowing these cells will be populated in the future? What would be the best way?

Right now, I go in manually and copy/link every week.

    Hope this explains better.

    Sarah
