#CALCULATING Displayed instead of Qty of Days

Hi All

I'm looking for some advice.

I have an IF statement that provides me with a count down till production starts for each product, and this has worked well for many months but is now becoming unreliable. Most of this data is pulled from other sheets using VLOOKUP.

It will display the count day for 10 mins or so then refresh itself and show #CALCULATNG until I refresh again.

Any ideas on how to stop this happening?

Perhaps related, I also get this message too ?

Thanks

    Hi @Phil Parks

    I hope you're well and safe!

    Yes, you've hit a limit, so I'd recommend looking at improving the structure/formulas. For example, maybe exchange the VLOOKUP to INDEX/MATCH instead.

    Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

    I hope that helps!

    Be safe and have a fantastic week!

  • @Andrée Starå Thanks for reply.

    I'll try and learn index/match as I've never used this before.

    @Phil Parks

    Happy to help!

    Here's the formula structure.

    =INDEX({ColumnWithTheValueYouWantToShow}; MATCH(CellThatHaveTheValueToMatch@row;

    {ColumnWithTheValueToMatchAgainsTheCell}; 0))

    Depending on your country/region, you'll need to exchange the comma to a period and the semi-colon to a comma.

    Did that work?
