Is there a limit to the number of conditional formatting rules?

Is there a limit to the number of conational formatting rules? I have a sheet that is roughly 400 columns, and I'd like at least 100 of them to have conditional formatting rules (If a column is N/A, I'd like the adjacent column to grey out)

I don't think there is a set limit. It's more of how advanced the sheet is and how many cells are included.
