Identifying Duplicates

Hi -

I've been trying to figure out a way to identify duplicates in my sheet in some way. I'm not picky if that's a checkbox or a flag - it really doesn't matter. I've researched a few formulas through the community and cannot seem to get them to take. I get an #UNPARSEABLE each time.

How do I call out the top 2 ID's as duplicates? There's definitely a step I've missed in following the formulas that are out in the community. Any advice?

Try something like this in a Checkbox or Flag type column.

=IF(COUNTIF(ColumnName:ColumnName, ColumnName@row) > 1, 1)

@Andrée Starå Thank you for the quick reply - I'm still getting the same error.

Here's what I used based on your formula:

=IF(COUNTIF(Constituent ID:ConstituentID, ConstituentID@row) > 1, 1)

What did I miss?

Try something like this.

=IF(COUNTIF(ConstituentID:ConstituentID, ConstituentID@row) > 1, 1)

You gave me an idea! I think it was my column name - it had a space between Constituent and ID, but the formula didn't seem to like the space. I removed the space from the column name and it worked.
