Picking next populated cell with formula
I'm trying to populate a cell (current email) using a formula with only one column being populated.
Reading:
Populate cell "Current email" with either "email 1" @ row or "email 2" @ row or "email 3" @ row...
Thank you.

Hi @Amy Bedard
I hope you're well and safe!
Try something like this.
=JOIN([email 1]@row:[email 3]@row)
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hello.
I have an expanded question to the one above. My email address changes in the system to "First Last" name. Even when I try to update my profile, it still converts it automatically. I have never had a problem before, but with the formula you provided above, it seems to cause an issue. The cell with the formula changes it to "First Last" name and no longer an email. I need the email to proceed with workflow.
Thank you.
Amy

Happy to help!
Can you maybe share some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

Here is a screenshot of the formula and an example..
If the email address doesn't covert to "First Last" name, then the email address shows in the Current Gate 2 Owner field and the automation works. I don't know how/if I can get it to not covert but several people's emails do this. Maybe it needs a different formula?
Thank you.

Ah, I see.
You'd have to change the column type of the columns included in the JOIN, so it shows the email address only, and then it should work.
Make sense?

Sorry- I'm not sure that it does. I didn't have my column with the formula as a Contact List and changed that. I was hoping it was that easy, but it wasn't.
Here is how I have the columns set up. I do not want to restrict the list. So far, I have not tested it if multiple contacts are added. Not a "deal breaker" if that doesn't work, as most if not all should be single email.
When I select my name, it doesn't copy the email to the formula cell. When I select any of the other names, it works great. (Note: I am not the only one I see in the shared files that converted to a "First Last" name format so I don't think it's because I'm the owner.
Thank you.

I'd be happy to take a quick look.
Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
