Help w/automatically changing STATUS to OFF TRACK based on date
Hey team - I have a STATUS drop down menu that I manually update, options are:
- Caution
- Complete
- Not Started
- Off Track
- On Track
- On Hold
- At Risk
- Canceled
However, I'm looking for a way for the STATUS to automatically change to Off Track if the TARGET COMPLETE DATE is in the past and the previous STATUS was anything other than Complete/Canceled/On Hold.
Is that possible?

Jmo,
Set the trigger to any value and add a condition below.
Select Where Target Complete Date and the drop down will give the in the past option.
Then you can set the cell value you want to change and to what.
I hope this helps.

Are you able to setup and Automation workflow that would Run when the Target complete date is reached. Where conditions that Status would not be set to those 3 statuses. To change the value in the Status cell to off target?

Jmo,
Have you tried using the new automated workflow, change a cell value?
I would create a workflow based upon the target date and then change the cell value (Status) based upon the criteria you want.
I would run the workflow daily or on a custom reoccurrence to make sure it was updated regularly.
I hope this helps.

@Joel Wells & @Frank.Smith - I took a look at the new Change Cell Value automation however, when I look for making the first condition of TARGET COMPLETE DATE "in the past" - it doesn't come up as an option (like when creating a filter in a sheet) but rather wants me to pick a date(s).
Not sure how to use that new automation feature to flip STATUS to Off Track once a date occurs in the past.
