Resource allocation

I want to allocate resources across multiple projects. How do I track them if they have only 3 days work over a two week period. SmartSheet seems to auto calculate them as working 10 days in a two week period. Please advise how to separate duration from start / finish dates. Thank you.

We designed something similar for our organization. To get the most accurate reflection of allocation, we used multiple lines to track project start and end dates that align with the duration, even if that means having multiple lines for the same project.

When you tracked the project on multiple lines, did you add a line for every hour the resource worked on the same project?
