As you've noted, multistep workflows are not returned via the API. Only single-action notifications, approval requests, or update requests currently qualify. Here's the list of all automation rules in the API documentation.

In regards to Reports, the list of currently supported API requests for Reports are outlined here. To edit the grid data showing in the Report, you'll want to edit the underlying data in the sheet instead. This will then automatically roll up to the Report level in Smartsheet as well.

I don't have a timeline for any of your requested features above, however it would be good for our Product team to hear from you to understand the types of requests you'd like to make through the API, and how these would be beneficial for your processes. Please fill out this form, here!

Another crucial element of the Smartsheet app without a complete API implementation. SMDH.

As far as I'm concerned, Smartsheet is an unfinished product, and speaking as a consultant with clients who ask about cloud data platforms, I can no longer recommend Smartsheet to clients. Two years and you still don't have a complete API.
