Checkboxes and coloring per click/select

Hey all,

I have a question. How to insert a formula, and where, which I would check a checkbox and the symbol will color a certain color? For example, if I check the checkbox, I would like for the rounded symbol to be green.

Also, one more thing: How can I, for example, click on predecessors and the smartsheet automatically highlights those rows or specific cells? For example, I have 3 predecessors that have to be done before a task and if I click on the predecessors, it will highlight some cells (Task cells).

I can't help with the predecessor/dependent question, but I can help with the formula for checkbox/color status

Every symbol has a name that SS recognizes in the formulas. For example, a check box would be 0 (off) or 1 (on). You can also use TRUE (checked) or FALSE (unchecked)

The color dots are just their colors.

I believe the way to accomplish what you are trying to do would be to enter the formula in the color column as:

=IF(Checkbox@row=1,"Green","Red")
