Locking and unlocking a Column with a Formula
How do I lock a column with a formula so that it cannot be tampered?

Unfortunately, it's not possible to automatically lock/unlock columns, but it's an excellent idea!

To add to @Andrée Starå's correct answer, you could manually lock the column with the formula by right-clicking on the Column Name at the top of the sheet and selecting this option from the drop-down list.
Keep in mind that uses with Admin or Owner permissions on the sheet will still be able to make edits. See: Lock or Unlock Columns and Rows
Additionally, if you set a formula as a Column Formula this will also "lock" the column so only users with Admin permissions could make adjustments, see: Set Formulas for All Rows with Column Formulas
If you have more questions, it would be helpful to see a screen capture of your current set-up (but please block out sensitive data), and a copy/paste of the formula you're using.
