Formula using Symbols and Check Box

Hello everyone, I'm trying to set up an equations to do two things:

1) When the check box is click (Complete column)

The Status will change to a BLUE dot (Status column)

2) When the check box is not click (Complete column)

The Status will change to a GREEN dot (Status column)

Can this be done? Right now I'm changing the symbols manually

Try something like this.

=IF(Complete@row = 1, "Blue", "Green")

This is close! I want it to actually use the blue or green dot symbol rather than the word. Is this undoable?

Yes, you only need to change the column type to a symbol option that includes the blue dot.

@Andrée Starå This worked yes! Now let me add one more additional part.

I also use the Yellow and Red dots in the same column, but when I change to one of those colors, the formula stops working.

Can I use the formula to control the Blue/Green, but also manually use the Yellow and Red in the same Status column. I sure hope this makes sense.

Unfortunately, It's not possible to have a formula and be able to change it manually. Still, with so-called helper columns, you could change the value in one column, and the one with the formula would be the master.

Make sense?
