Project tracking Gantt

Hey all, new to the Smartsheet community. I currently have a form that our users enter a request for and all the info is dumped into a sheet. Works as designed.

What I know need to figure out, after 70 rows of info, is how I can treat or track each row as a separate project, which they are. I'd also like to have a dashboard, or someplace that I can track all of my project statuses and milestones.

Any help would be great. I've thought through a lot of this, just not sure how to implement it.

Yes, but you'd need to recreate the form in the new sheet/solution or modify the current one and connect it to the new structure.

The Project Intake Template Set would be a great starting point.

I guess my workflow is a little all over the place. Associates will fill out a form, requesting a new conference room buildout. They enter all the information, site, location, size of room, use of room. I then take that info drop it into a Google Sheet, we are a GSuite shop, one for each room. That sheet is attached.

So at this point my Smartsheet is 70 rows of individual room information, with no true tracking other than a status column with a drop down that I change manually. No type of tracking, or true project management. Yesterday I laid out all the tasks associated with a room buildout, and for us it's about 20 tasks. That times 70 rooms is daunting.

I'd recommend creating a so-called Intake Process where all projects are added and then a Template Project Sheet connected to the Intake sheet.

You could then add an ID in the Template Project sheet, which would populate the information from the Intake sheet.

To view it all together, you could either use a report or link back the information from each project to the Intake sheet.

If you'd like to automate almost everything, you could use the Premium App, Control Center. Is that an option?

That's exactly how I had it in my head. Is it possible to take my current form and connect it to a template project sheet as you mentioned?

I just looked at the Project Intake template set that is in the solution center.
