How to sum column totals for visible rows only?
Hello,
I currently have a checkbox that allows a row to be filtered out (i.e. out of scope items). When these rows are filtered, I would like the associated numbers to not be included in the column sum totals. I tried searching but I must not be searching the right terms to find help on this function.
Any help appreciated!
Nate

Hi @nathan.tia
I hope you're well and safe!
You'd need to add that criteria to the total cell.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hello! Do I used "SUMIF"? and if so, I am not sure what function to use validate that the row is visible only that should be counted. Any help with formula/function structure would be appreciated!
Example:
=SUMIF(Creative48:Creative49)

You can't use the sheet filter to do it if you don't also select the visible rows with a checkbox or similar.
Have you already done that?
Make sense?

Formula works fine in this format, but I want it to be for a range of rows:
=SUMIFS(Strategy:Strategy, [Not Scoped]:[Not Scoped], @cell = 0)
So I added the formula to account for the range of rows, but it now gives me an error "INCORRECT ARGUMENT SET"
=SUMIFS(Strategy1:Strategy2, [Not Scoped]:[Not Scoped], @cell = 0)
-
I figured this out with the formula below:
=SUMIFS(Strategy1:Strategy2, [Not Scoped]1:[Not Scoped]2, @cell = 0)
Thank you for offering advice and pointing me in the right direction!
