Calendar App URL Parameters

I have built a Calendar using Calendar App and set the default view to be Weekly because this is the best view to display the data in the Calendar App. However, I would also like to add this calendar to a Dashboard with a filter applied.

I have found the URL parameter to specify which filter I would like applied on the Dashboard view of the calendar, but is it possible to also specify that the view should be "Day" instead of the Calendar's default of "Weekly" in the URL? This would be a much cleaner view for the Dashboard, but too limited for the calendar when viewed from Calendar app.

FYI this is the parameter I'm using for the filter URL setting:

filters/[FilterID]/apply

    Hi @Braden Bertrand

You can only set one default view for the Calendar App URL.

I would suggest setting your Calendar to be built as a Daily calendar so it displays that way in the Dashboard. Then when you access the Calendar via the App, you can toggle it to show in the Weekly view while you have it open (which won't affect how it shows in the Dashboard). Will that work for you?

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

  • It does tell me what I need to know. I ended up making a second calendar using the same source but set to the Day View instead of the Week View. The Day view is perfect for the purpose on the Dashboard, but is too limited for the full-screen view within the Calendar App. So the link takes uses to the Weekly version which will give them a much larger picture.

    Thank you!

  • That's a great idea, I didn't think of that! I'm glad you found a solution for now.

    Cheers!
