I have two date columns that I need to combine into one

I have Column C where I want to combine two different date columns. When the date is blank in Column A, I want it to pull from Column B; and, when the date is blank in Column B, I want it to pull the date from column A. I've tried ISBLANK formulas and IF formulas, but I've been getting error messages and not accomplishing much. Any and all help is appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi @Deanna L
Instead of ISBLANK, you can try this
=IF([Column B]@row = "", [Column A]@row, IF([Column A]@row = "", [Column B]@row))
