Using VLOOKUP to return Summary (Epic Name) from another Smartsheet
Hello SS Community,
I'm trying to use a VLOOKUP to grab the Summary name of the Epic for all linked Issues, but keep getting an 'Invalid Reference' error. Can you point out what I'm doing wrong? Below is the original sheet w/formula and below that is the VLOOKUP sheet I'm referencing. Thanks so much! -kerri

I meant in your formula... How exactly are you creating the {cross sheet reference}?

What are the exact steps you are taking to create your cross sheet reference?

I am using the Jira Connector for Smartsheet to pull Epics only for a group of 6 Projects to populate the Product Increment Data sheet. The Ocean's 13 Sprint Data sheet pulls all issues from 1 Project. I am trying to create a report that can 'Group By' Epic Name for all issues in the Ocean's 13 Sprint Data sheet. In order to do this, I need to populate the Epic Name in the Ocean's 13 Sprint Data sheet.

I used this previous question to try to do this - https://community.smartsheet.com/discussion/comment/253213#Comment_253213.

Oh duh, sorry. I'm just typing it in, but that has to be wrong. When I click the 'Reference Another Sheet', I have to select a column. If I select a column, I get 'Incorrect Argument' error.

I figured it out, @Paul Newcome! =VLOOKUP([Epic Link]@row, {Product Increment Data Range 3}, 3) You have to select the range with the Key and the value and specify the column within that range. Appreciate your support!

Glad you got it sorted. Happy to help. 👍️
