I'm looking to set up a workplace roster on Smartsheet, to cover the 50-odd employees in our workshop.
- each employee has their own column
- date tracks row by row
- each cell tracks daily rostered hours for each employee
I already have something of this sort set up, but I want to develop it an extra step or two so it will be suitable for the whole office to use. I want to highlight cells a different colour if they contain information other than working hours - AL (annual leave), RDO (rostered day off), PH (public holiday), TRN (training), Sick.... etc.
If I set up the conditional formatting rules as I understand them, I will need to generate hundreds of rules to cover the workforce, and this is not practical.
My question - Can conditional formatting rules be created that apply to an entire sheet?
