Will the changing of linked cells not trigger automation?

I have two sheets with linked cells. In the sheet that receives the linked information I have two automations set up to change other cells on the sheet based on the linked information coming through, but nothing is happening. When I manually change the cells (overriding the links) the automation happens, but not when the link supplies the new data. Help!!

Certain automations (I am not sure if it is all of them) will not be triggered by cell links/cross sheet references due to the potential for a circular reference.

I hope you're well and safe!

It will not trigger from a change linked from another sheet, or at least some Workflows won't, so the best option is probably to change it, so it triggers on a recurrence instead.
