I'm a user with editing rights. How can I view a sheet as a non-editing user would see it?

I'm an editing user.

I can lock rows and columns.

I can unlock rows and columns.

Annoyingly, I can still delete cell contents when the row or column is locked. That's not how I want it to work - I'd prefer to have to unlock those rows or columns and then do it. I have no way of getting a feel for how a non-editing user can use (or abuse) the sheet.

Is there some mode or option I can use to change this please?

Viewer and Commenter permissions cannot edit any data on the sheet (regardless of locked/unlocked rows/columns). Commenters can add/delete their own comments, but they cannot interact with any of the data within the sheet itself.

I want to be able to preview the sheet as an editing user under my own license, and not preview it as an admin - I want to get a feel for how it works with the locked rows.

To add to Paul's excellent advice/answer.

You can add yourself with other email addresses for the different levels and see how it looks.
