Duplicate 1 cell to another

I am needing to duplicate one cell to another, how can this be done?

e.g. column 2 cell duplicated to column 1.

Would it work to use formula? How many different variations can there be?

See sheet below, I guess a formula should work.

I need to take the name from the contact (Employee Contact) cell and place into the employee (Primary) cell.

This is a holiday request sheet with form.

Try something like this. (you can also make it a column formula, so it's added to all rows automatically)

=[Employee Contact]@row
