We are using the automated column Date Created to monitor when requests are made employees.
The date and time is not populating with the date and time the employee entered the information. I created the sheet, I am in Eastern Standard time in the US. Our employees are in Kenya. I transferred ownership to someone in Kenya hoping this would fix the problem, but it is still not using Kenya (EAT) time to populate the column.

The timestamp in the Created (Date) system column is based on your selected Time Zone in the Personal Settings of your Smartsheet account. (See: Use a System Column to Automatically Add Information to a Row)
This means that you will see Eastern Standard time, but your colleague in Kenya should see their own date/time in that column as long as they have the correct timezone in their settings:
Cheers,
Genevieve

Thank you, that was the problem. Kenya needed to adjust their settings.

No problem! I'm glad we were able to identify what was going on. 🙂
