Form URL - Manipulate Header/Help Text
I know that we can use formulas to generate URLs that will allow us to auto-fill certain fields within the form using row data. I also know that we can use this to automatically check the box to request a copy of the form submission and that we can use this method to auto-fill the person's email address.
What I would love to find out is whether or not we can manipulate the text within the header or help text. Is there a string we can use to access this "field"?

Hi @Paul Newcome!
No, there currently isn't a way to customize the header and help text through a query string; you would need to create separate forms with your different versions of text in these "fields".

Genevieve

Ugh. Thanks for confirming. I am having an issue with customizing the URL for forms that I had to reach out to support for that I was hoping maybe this would be able to resolve.

"I also know that we can use this to automatically check the box to request a copy of the form submission" , from your question above, does this statement mean, we can check the box at the end the form "Send me the copy of my responses" by default using URL Customization? This would be really helpful for me. I will look forward for your response. Thank you!

Hi @Mounika
I hope you're well and safe!
Here's how.
- If you’ve enabled the Allow submitter to email a copy of form submission option in your form settings, you can use query strings to automatically select this option on your form and enter a default email address. Use ECA to pass information into this field.
- For example:
Did that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic week!

Hi @Andrée Starå, and @Paul Newcome
Thanks for responding. The email is captured via the same form, in the "Primary Email Address" column. I do not have any specific emails. So is it possible to make "Send me a copy of responses" to checked by default using the email address that the participant enters in the "Primary Email address" field?
I have to send the automated email to the participants as soon as they submit the form, however my institution has placed restriction (please see in the attached screenshot " Automation permissions) that is restricting to set up the workflow to send the automated alerts. So, I have placed the "Warning" message at the bottom of the form to let responders check "Send me a copy of my responses". However, there might still be a chance that some responders might still not check this box, so they will not receive the automated emails. So, if it is possible to make the checkbox being checked by default by the email address entered in "Primary email address" field, please let me know how I can achieve that functionality.
If not, does Smartsheet captures the data on who checked the "Send me a copy of my responses". At least I can send manual emails, to those who did not check that box. This is really really helpful for me, if could provide me with suggestions. Thanks in Advance!
