Report Summary why can't I format Currency?
I'm using reports to do "summaries" using Average and Sum. All underlying sheet columns are formatted in US Currency. The Total is displaying the number with the $ sign but no comma. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I believe this may be "expected" behavior. I just had a client point the same thing out in one of their reports and have raised a ticket with Support.

I have bookmarked your post and will try to remember to revisit and update once I hear back from them. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Thanks for weighing in, Paul. I also had a report that rolls up to an executive dashboard and both their comma separators in USD currency mid-January. That is to say, I'm confirming that the formatting did previously exist and its absence should be considered a bug. Sorry for the potato quality screenshots.

Just this morning I got a response from Support:
At this time, Smartsheet does not yet support showing commas in the grouping summary; however, I have recorded your Support ticket as feedback and on your behalf, I have also submitted an Enhancement Request to our Product team so that this functionality may be added to their lists of future developments. We highly appreciate your input!
@Chris Albig Could I possibly direct them your way since you have screenshots of it obviously being in place?

It appears that the Summaries section from a report does support commas. Just not commas in the currency format. I changed my source sheet back and forth to check this.

UPDATE:
"I reviewed the community post and I was able to see the screenshot that you've mentioned. Upon further investigation on the backend, we've determined that the behavior you're experiencing is not intended and we have notified our Development team, who is actively working on a resolution.
Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a time-frame on how long the resolution could take but we are doing our best in order to have this fixed as soon as possible."
