Linking sheets

I have a dropdown box in a column on Sheet A. I want to link Sheet B. When I create a hyperlink to Sheet B with one of the selections from the dropdown, when I go to edit that selection later, the link disappears. I want the link to Sheet B to stay no matter what dropdown selection I choose.

Hi @newuser

When you create a hyperlink it's specific to that text where you've put an underlying URL. When you select another option from the drop-down, it replaces your original value which turns the cell back to plain text, as you've found. See: Create a Hyperlink to a Sheet, Report, or Website

I would suggest having one cell in your top row (perhaps a summary row?) that you keep a static value in, such as "Link to Sheet B" with the Hyperlink. Then all the rows below can use the different text dropdown options, as needed.
