Can I dynamically update data from a single column into another sheet to reflect added rows ?

@Paul Newcome - Are you able to assist me in walking through linking a data column from a roster sheet to a project sheet? I have a site roster that can change on occasion (new sites added) and I want to add only the Primary Column name into a project sheet to show this new site as needing to be added to the project.

I already linked the initial locations via basic cell linking but because you can't cell link blank cells I need a formula that will populate new sites to my project sheet as they are added to the site roster.

    Hi @PfossRiv04

I hope you're well and safe!

    • You could use cross-sheet formulas combined with either a VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH structure to connect the sheets, and when you update the source sheet, it will reflect on the destination sheet.
    • Another option would be to use so-called helper sheets. In short, copy the row to a helper sheet and then use my method described previously to get the values you need to another helper sheet and then copy/move the row from that sheet to the main destination sheet.

    Would that work/help?

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic week!
