Hello,

If I understand correctly, the synchronisation only works in one direction - from the DataTable to the Smartsheet.

1) Is it possible to use the Smartsheet at all to update data in the DataTable?

2) Since the synchronisation is only based on cells, how do I make sure that the comments, approvals and attachments are not lost in the Smartsheet?

1) No, this is not currently supported (please provide your enhancement request to the Product Team here!)

2) At this time, I would not recommend DataTable for sheets with comments and attachments; the Add and Update connection does not remove attachments but Remove will delete the attachment. You may want to create an "archive" sheet to preserve comments/attachments or ensure you have backups scheduled for these sheets in case any attachments are deleted.
