Update Cell Workflow to change row Status

Looking to update the status of a row to 'Complete' once the % complete = 100. I put together the below workflow for that action and it does not work. Can't figure it out.

Trigger: when rows are changed

when % complete changes to:

100%

Run workflow: When triggered

Change cell value

Change cell value in : Status

Complete

That's pretty weird. Next stop may be Smartsheet support. I've heard of others having sheets where workflow just stops working due to some background corruption.

I tested this and it worked just fine. Updating a column with single-select drop down and a regular text/number column:

How is your value of 100% being generated? Manual entry? Formula from other cells on the same sheet? Or via cross-sheet link or function?

Manual entry should work to trigger change a cell value workflow.

A formula from other cells on the same sheet MAY trigger change a cell value workflow, depending on how the other cells are populated.

A change from a cross-sheet link or function will NOT trigger a change a cell value workflow.

Hi Jeff,

The % complete and the status columns are both manual entry. There are no cross-sheet links anywhere in the sheet, but I do have formulas in other cells.

The cells with formulas reference the status and % complete, but I wouldn't think that matters, does it?

No that shouldn't matter.

Let's check how you're entering the percentage. Is the column formatted for %, or just regular text/number? In other words, do you enter "100%" in the column, or just enter 1 and the column interprets that as 100%? The system interprets 100% in a percent-formatted column to actually be a numeric value of 1. So try changing your trigger to be where % Complete = 1 and see if that works.
