Possible Issues with My formula

Good Morning everyone,

I am currently trying to set up one my sheets to be mostly automated. I have a column that is labeled "Ticket type", "price", "quantity", and "total amount". I have a IF formula set up in "price" column so if a certain ticket type appears it will populate the column with a Number. In This sheet I plan on multiplying "price" and "quantity". The issue comes when I set up a formula in the "Total amount" column to have "price" and quantity" multiplied I get #Invalid operation.I have tried using =sum, and =value. I apologize if this is an easy fix, I am new to Smartsheet.

Change you ticket price formula to have just the number (no quotations or currency symbols),

so "$5.00" changes to 5 . Same for the rest...
