Filter View to Hide/Unhide columns

I have many, many columns on one product, its good they are all there but its unwieldy. It would be perfect to have filter views that could be selectable by columns, then I could switch views to look at groups of distinct columns that show burnrate, or cost estimate, or project progress.

Any better option beyond manually selecting columns to hide/unhide?
