How to over ride submitted data through forms?

Hello everyone, I have a form linked to a spreadsheet. I have callers that submit claims to our office through smartsheets using forms and the status is pending. Once their claim is resolved they call us back and we update their record to active. Is there a way for them to change the status to active when its resolved without calling, without sharing our spreadsheet and keeping a history of the submission?

@Carlo R How do you inform them that the claim is resolved? If you make changes to the record that identifies that a claim is resolved, that could be used to send an Update Request to the caller that asks them to change the status. Or, just a bit more sophisticated, you could send an Approval request.
