Rows with attachments copied to other sheet

Options

Hi!

I am new to smartsheet and I have been testing different workflows between sheets.

When a row with attachment is copied to to another sheet, it will include only the last version of the attachment. Is this correct?

(Unless files have been saved with different names, then more than file will be copied)

I want to confirm that I will be able to download a lot of files from the second sheet at once, without having to remove or deselect early versions of the documents attached to rows, provided that these have been uploaded in the initial sheet with the same name.

thank you very much

    Hi @Giselef

When you copy rows from one sheet to another, including attachments, this will copy over all of the attachments including previous Versions.

However, when you bulk-download all files from any sheet, this will automatically only download the most recent version. See: Access and Download Files Attached to a Sheet

In order to download a previous version you would need to go to that specific attachment and click on the "V2" or "V3" to see the attachment version history. See: Keep File Attachments Current

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Genevieve

    Dear Genevieve

Thank you very much for taking the time and providing such a clear explanation.

So, it seems that I will be able to download only the final versions (which is ultimately what I want) from my "repository" sheet.

    have a nice day
